This list has been prepared with the cooperation of our breeder members who have agreed to abide by the GRCA's Guidelines with respect to good breeding practice. The GRCA does not endorse any particular breeder, and stresses that this list is for assistance only. It is your responsibility to find the breeder that will best meet your requirements. All of these breeders listed are willing to educate the public as well. This list however, does not confirm health clearances, ages or pedigrees. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure proper papers are in place with the breeder of their choice. If you are in doubt, please ask for assistance. All new breeders that wish to join the list, MUST be sponsored by one of the breeders listed with the Golden Retriever Club of Alberta.
To All Prospective Golden Buyers:
After locating a breeder on this list, if they have a website, we encourage you to read through the information and carefully choose a breeder. While it may seem like a timesaver to send a blanket email to a number or all the breeders asking if they have puppies arriving, this approach can be very frustrating to our breeders. Please respect that the breeders are taking the time to respond to your request and if you have started an interview process with them it is important to follow through with communication.Also the first to respond back to your email does not make them automatically the best choice. Take your time, this is a lifetime committment that warrants some research.
We also have a puppy referral sytem. Some breeders will let the referers know when they have a litter coming and this can assist you in locating the breeders with litters available.
